RICHMOND, Ill., October 17, 2025— EMS Industrial & Service Company, a manufacturer of electric busbars used to safely distribute high currents, has been acquired by Dielectric Manufacturing, a fabricator of metal and plastic parts in Richfield, Wis. The acquisition allows the companies to expand product availability for high-growth markets such as electric vehicles, power generation, data centers, telecommunications and defense. EMS joins the Dielectric family along with Centerline Machine, which was acquired in 2015.

For 50 years, Dielectric Manufacturing has been fabricating and machining plastic, carbon fiber and metal components for a wide range of industries. The new busbar production capabilities provide the ability to deliver higher volumes at up to 75% faster.

Dielectric Manufacturing has seen higher demand for electrical system parts used in booming industries that use high electric currents, such as power generation, data centers and electric vehicles. EMS brings more than 25 years of high-quality busbar production and fast delivery, which will help Dielectric Manufacturing meet customers’ growing needs.

“Making this acquisition helps us diversify our customer base as a recession-proofing measure,” says Mike Esser, president and CEO of Dielectric Manufacturing. “We have no plans to change company operations or workforce at EMS because it’s all working very well as it is.”

In addition to expanding its capabilities, Dielectric Manufacturing continuously invests back into the company by updating technology and providing expanded skills training for its people. “As a family-run business, we have a growth mindset to continue looking for smart business opportunities like EMS,” Esser says. “We’re a long-term partner for our customers, our employees and our communities. We plan to be here long enough to see future generation join us.”

Client Testimony

“After a series of bus bar suppliers continued to disappoint on everything from lead times and cost to customer service, we gave EMS a try. We couldn’t be happier. Joe’s customer service and response times are fantastic, lead times are clearly stated and precise.  Even if the cost were more, we would continue to do business with EMS because of the solid customer service and quality of the product. “
